Central Instrumentation Facility “Modern-CIF”

Considering the increasing spectrum of under-graduate, post-graduate and doctoral degree programs in the college, technological advents in scientific arena, besides need of inter-departmental and multi-disciplinary research, the college has established a Central Instrumentation Facility ‘Modern-CIF’, with ease of access to interested faculty student researchers.

College has some high, and mid-end equipments which are required for students and faculty from different departments like Real-Time qPCR, HPLC, AAS, FTIR, Nano-Drop Spectrophotometer, -80 refrigerators Cryotome, Gel-Documentation Systems, Thermocycler, Ultra-cooling Centrifuges and Sonicator. This facility has been created through financial support and grants sanctioned under DST-FIST, DBT Star and Institutional funds. These facilities can be utilized by the faculty members, research scholars and students of the Modern College, besides researchers from other institutes can also use the facilities at nominal charges, with prior permission.
